Am curious as to the author - seems like a real journalist, obviously a talented writer and connected to current events in Alaska.

4. I'm not sure exactly who Mudflats is

but I could probably find out. I do know Phil Munger who hosts ProgressiveAlaska.com, so maybe I could cajole him to tell me.

6. KUDO used to really be good
