You see, with Bush you prosecute Don Siegelman and Joe Wilson, but you persecute people on Wall Street.

I was laughing out loud at the irony of it all. A friend of mine (a right winger, but says that she now thinks GWB is an idiot) is staying at my house. I burst out of the bedroom when I heard this and said, "Your boy thinks persecute is prosecute! That explains it all!" Her response was that he was famous for screwing up words. I told her that doesn't make it right--just proves that he is an imbecile.
