Oprah pushes Biden's... FISA?

Can some of you techies explain how well this will work, if it will work, and why it is or is not a FISA equivalent?

3. Because the technology to do it doesn't exist!

They had one hairbrained scheme that would look in images for certain percentages of skin tones they said were typical of children. Epic Fail.

They tried blocking P2P ports. Epic Fail.

In fact, everything that I know that they have tried has failed, except for HUMINT. Where they have HUMINT on a child porn ring, then they can bust them.

The fact is, guys like Biden get snookered by software snakeoil salesmen. These guys sell their software to the government for huge sums, knowing the software does not exist and most likely will never exist. Besides, smarter people out there, and a lot more of them, just invent something new to flick these hairbrained schemes off their lapels like a crumb.

And remember: When it comes to the Internet, "child porn" is the last refuge of the demagogue.

Apparently, liberal FISA is cool, conservative FISA sucks. I'd like to think Biden was suckered by a snakeoil salesmen but am not so sure about that. Let's hope so and he sees the light. Since it won't work, the only other explanation is getting the FBI monitoring equipment in place to track things like DU and other radical things. We have to learn to love the bomb... and Big Brother.
