1. Funny how every bailout was during republican leadership.
Wonder why that seems to be the case?

6. No where in the chart is Clintons name mentioned
the chart goes from 1989 to 2001 and no bailouts were shown inbetween 1989 or 2001 which were clinton years.

1989 After the widespread failure of savings and loan institutions, President George H. W. Bush signed and Congress enacted the Financial Institutions Reform Recovery and Enforcement Act in 1989.

11. I'm talking about Daddy Bush and the Savings and Loan bailout at 294 Billion.
Jr's total will be over one trillion by the time he's done.

5. 2008 is a disaster of staggering proportions

2008, not counting the 500 - 1,000 billion new bailout, already amounts to almost as much as all the prior bailouts combined.

347.5 - total prior to 2008, in 2008 dollars.
333.6 - total in 2008, not including yesterday's insane action.

I think we are basically in uncharted territory.

15. Reminds me of the old Arlo Guthrie/Pete Seeger song.
I am changing my name to Chrysler.
I'm heading down to Washington DC.
I will tell some power broker
What they did for Iacoca
Will be perfectly acceptable to me.

I am changing my name to Chrysler.
I am heading for that big receiving line.
When they hand that million grand out
I'll be standing with my hand out.
Yessir, I'll get mine!
