Okay - an interesting viewpoint -
I'm watching Faux news right now (okay, barf, I know, I watch it just to see how the other half lives) "The Faux Report," and Charles Krauthammer raised, surprisingly, an interesting point.

I wanted to get your guys' take.

He says that, in the next 2-5 years, we're going to be working so hard get ourselves out of debt that there will be not an extra dollar for McCain's tax cuts, or Obama's social plans, or anything else. Essentially, his point is that any and all plans tied to our economy are moot. That this is now the great leveler of the candidates.

How do you feel about that viewpoint?

I actually found it interesting and perspicacious. Although I feel dirty saying that about something I saw on the Faux News Channel.

1. mccain gives increasingly larger tax cuts to the rich.
Obama gives the biggest breaks to the poorest, graduating up to zero above $250 grand, and then increases taxes on the very rich, the top 2 percent of the population. Obviously, Obama's plan brings a lot more money into the treasury. Remember the surplus after Clinton? Obama's plan is similar.

2. Here's what I think about it ...

Oh, and no more money for invading countries, or Halliburton, or Blackwater, or privatizing or Carlyle.

No more.

3. BULLSHIT
That's what I think of it.

"That this is now the great leveler of the candidates. "

That is codswallop! WHO brought this on? I think we all know and "faux" news will be the last to point it out to their viewers.
