Poll question: What should we call this current economic mess?
Yesterday I asked what everyone thought we should call it (here is the original thread) in the hopes we could get another "Caribou Barbie".

Several people responded, and so, I present the poll for you to pick the one you like best...
Choice 1: The Gramm Oppression (from DUer Defenestrate)

Choice 2: The trickle down depression (from DUer DJ13)

Choice 3: GREED (Greedy Republicans Eviscerating Everyone's Dollars, from DUer malaise)

Choice 4: Friedman flop (also from DUer malaise)

Choice 5: The Great Deception (from DUer randr)

Choice 6: TETULYM (The Era of Throwing Up a Little in Your Mouth, from DUer Redbear)

Choice 7: The Reagan Revulsion (from DUer RainDog)

Choice 8: The Republican Depression (from Duer nadinbrzezinski)

Choice 9: Fuckedonomics (from DUer timeforarevolution)

Choice 10: Other (please elaborate in reply)

14. The Republican branding must be very clear. These are the results
of their very strong move to deregulate the financial sector. They wanted to privatize and deregulate and some Democrats wilted and joined in, but this is their game.

So it is definitely a Republican Depression, and we are bailing out their main contributors, conforming to their motto, emblazoned on hundreds of signs at the RNC COnvention:

COUNTRY CLUB FIRST !!

15. Monopoly the Homeland Version
Shifts attention to the fact that this was the result of allowing financial companies to get too big, and to letting them buy their way out of government regulation.
