One policy I'd like to see implemented by an....
...Obama presidency is a mandate that the private sector ante up their profits into higher education. For too long corporations have had a free ride on demanding that their workforce pay for their own degrees before the later is even considered for an exalted low-paying position. This, of course, has fueled the rapacious student loan business (presented as that ruse known as financial aid), which has saddled many college graduates with high debt and very few ways to quickly reduce it. Corporations, and particularly HR departments (which used to be called Personnel, but have now become the tools of upper management), know this and significantly underpay their new hires (and "tenured" employees) with salaries that leave them just a "little" behind.

If student loans were eliminated, then the burden on employees would be reduced. With the elimination of the burden of student loan payments, the middle class would regain its lost strength.
