When I look out my window, where will I see or feel the 700 Billion that Shrub is asking us to pay?

Who can wrap their mind around a number like that?

Shrub is asking Congress for the authority to spend as much as $700 billion to purchase troubled mortgage assets and contain the financial crisis.

http://money.cnn.com/2008/09/20/news/economy/bailout_proposal/index.htm?postversion=2008092009

And yet, folks on mainstreet can't grasp where exactly this will hit in the pocket book. I can't. My concern is that the pukes will try and weasel their way out of this mess using smoke and mirrors leading up to the election - heck, the gov might even make money some say! Add this to the billions that have already disappeared in the vortex called Iraq and we have a dept that our childen's children's children will be saddled with.

A co-worker told me yesterday she read the AIG bailout alone would cost every man, woman, and child in America close to $300. As the number climbs close to a trillion, where do we get the bill? Will a gallon of milk cost $10.00? Going about my day, how or where will I notice --- oh, that's where we are paying for the rethuglicans greed and arrogance (deregulation) that led to the worst financial fuck up since the Great Depression.

Anybody have a clue - in what form will the bill arrive that we all will need to pay?

1. I can't imagine that it will only cost $300 per person
of if so, that must be for the next 100 years. Plus that is only the AIG bailout, what about the other bailouts and the occupation ("war")?

2. Transfer of Wealth
This may become one of the single biggest transfers of wealth from the working class to the super rich in U.S. history.

You'll see it in the CEOs and majority stock holders of the financial institutions living the same luxurious lifestyle they had before this crisis.

You, on the other hand will be paying $8 for a box of cereal, $3 for a small French fries, your property taxes will not be high enough for local government to fix the potholes in the street anymore, and your kids will either not get a bus ride to school or you will have to pay extra for that service.

This bailout plan is shaping up to be a bad deal for regular working Americans.

But, Congressional leadership and the Bushites and Wall Street are going to railroad this through before the end of next week. Like the Patriot Act, we won't know how much we've been shafted until much later.
