She'd called the local office looking for some campaign buttons. Since I was going to be in her neighborhood I offered to drop some by her place. She's very proud of the fact that she is now registered to vote. For years, she'd been too busy with her social life to bother with keeping up with events. And on the rare occasions when she thought about voting, she'd fallen back on her father's opinion that politicians are all alike so voting wasn't important. But now she says that she's frightened, scared for the country. "I listened to that Obama fellow," she said. "And the missus. We need him."
Did I mention that she's 75?
