I've kinda sensed this from all their on-air talent.

But just now, Contessa The Airhead Brewer just smacked the crap out of Tucker Bounds from the McPalin campaign. She would NOT allow him to just talk incessantly and sidestep answers and then she asked VERY sharp, pointed questions.

This is just the latest example. All their on-air talent is doing this, it seems to me.

1. I've noticed; there have been a lot less free passes given out lately.
Maybe they woke up and realized what a disaster McBush/'Puckhead' (:D) would be.

3. Actually, I have noticed the same thing...They seem to be getting
better with the Dems and harder on the RWers...This is a good thing, of course..Had they done this years ago, we might not have had at least a second term of Bush

5. About two weeks ago, there was an article posted (economy forum, perhaps?)
that stated that many on Wall Street think the dems will be better for the economy than the repubs. If big money decides that's the case, then that will be the case. Let's hope they do, cuz selecting the same assholes who got us into this mess will not get us out of it.

6. Do you suppose it finally dawned on them
that this might garner them a larger audience share? After all, Faux and its wannabees have to divide the conservative audience. And any more, even sheeple are waking up to the fact that the neocons have just about ruined this nation, and are looking for an outlet where the talking heads mirror their anger. So there is another huge audience share for the taking.

7. Maybe the high ratings from Rachel's show are giving them new
encouragement that there is an audience out here that is large and attractive to advertisers.

I know that KO's show always did well, but this in addition, might give them them added incentive to pursue this approach.

It's all about the money. If they can bring in the money, they'll give us whatever we want.

the conventions!

13. I'm inclined to believe msnbc's explanation
that doing so allows their best people, Olbermann & Maddow (even Matthews), to serve as pundits and make commentary without the restraint an Anchor would need to show.

15. Since they won't let him do the conventions, debates and such, I wish
that he would come on board on some place like DU to chat with us about them. Probably impossible as it is often hard to get on the site anyway and that would bring even more.

9. It's the stupid economy
The guys that run places like MSNBC are finally waking up to the fact that even their money is not safe under these incompetent buttmunches. they have instructed their reporters and commentators to ask direct questions and not accpet bullshit mealy mouth answers. Even faux has toughened up a little bit (although you'd never know it from the tongue bath insanity gave to palin the other day).

11. I have noticed. Every program zones in on gaffes, lies and
innuendo and reports on it. Daily, Rachel says "We contacted the McCain campaign and invited them to appear and they said no one is available".

14. About time.
I don't necessarily have a problem with partisan media (which is what we have, though they try to maintain a thin veneer of "objectivity"). My problem is that they're neither fish nor fowl. In other words, be an ass to everyone, asking hard questions, or softball EVERYONE with "My Little Pony" style interviews and coverage.

18. So what she's just doing her JOB!
I don't trust the corp media anymore. I notice they play to whatever audience they think is watching. MSNBC is the worst to me because if they were trying to be objective they would get Morning Joe for being a 3 hour daily McCain stratergy session. They fooled me once already. I will not be fooled again. I stick to my favorites and will not give the rest of them ratings satisfaction by tuning in just because one person I like is on. I can catch it on you tube if it's worth watching.

19. The cash flow is no longer positive
and even the corporate head office is getting nervous.

Even Pox News occasionally grumbles about the extreme lies on Magoo ads.

Everybody knows the GOP killed the goose that laid all those golden eggs.

Payback's going to be a true bitch.
