President Bush, do you still want to privatize our Social Security?

Through this whole Wall Street meltdown, one thought has come to mind. Is the reason President Bush wanted to privatize social security, because they new there was a meltdown on the horizon? If you need a Trillion dollars the easiest way would be to move it from the Social Security books into the stock market, go ahead and say tinfoil this and tinfoil that, I am willing to bet that no Politician regardless of party will ever bring up privatizing Social Security again.

1. Yes! He and McCain both - they just don't like that this makes it more difficult to sell

they sure don't care about the foundations (ie workers )

Mainly because you didn't put a time limit on it. My prediction: After 4 years of Democratic rule fixing the economy (8 at most), the Republican candidates for President (2012 or 2016) WILL come out in favor of "Privatizing" (stealing the profits from) Social Security for the benefit of Wall Street.
