Ah the talking heads.. guess who's guilty for this mess?
You'd think Gramn, deregulation... those things right?

You'd be WRONG... according to the talking heads it is either the Murican people en mass... or all them loans given to minorities who were not qualified... depends on how much race they want to inject into this

So now you know it... it is us

:sarcasm:

6. I heard right wing nut job Mike McConnel
today spreading that one, that must be the talking points memo today. He was blaming the Democrats, claiming that the lenders have to give blacks loans regardless of their ability to pay back. A banker called in and he said that is not true, he said if a lender uses that practice the government will not guarantee the loan. Then a black women called in and he asked her if she had to put her race on the application and she said no. Then he said when she talked to the loan officer that I bet it was noted on the application. Even after two callers telling him he was full of crap he goes on claiming that it started with Jimmy Carter, he made some kind of change where blacks get priority. Then Bill Clinton and Barney Frank pushed another one through that said blacks don't need collateral or ability to pay back. The he says I need some more bankers to call in, I guess until one agrees with him. That was when I just shut it off before I threw my XM radio out the window.

9. They're 1/2 right....
Irresponsible lenders lending to irresponsible borrowers.

The first 1/2 is deregulation. The second 1/2 is what it is.

13. I know they are PARTIALLY RIGHT, but would not go that far
the lenders lied to many of these folks... so yes, you are also blaming victims here

Should they know better? Yes

Are we preparing people to be able to know better?

No

19. From Bob Brinker on his Money talk program
It's Bill Clinton and Phil Gram's fault for causing it. Now the Democrats want to add a stimulus package to this driving up the deficit. One trillion dollars is OK for Wall Street a stimulus package to give a little money back to taxpayers will drive up deficit. He is also blaming Joe Biden for saying it's patriotic to pay more taxes. These goddamn thieves steal 1 trillion dollars for us and now they should help pay it back. This is the guy that said over and over back in 1992 that Bill Clinton didn't have a clue about the economy, he said Clinton increasing the tax on the rich would cause a depression.
