2. Someone should lock them down right now. |
|
Cheney has complete and utter contempt for the law and the American people.
I'll do a little happy dance when he's finally off the planet.

3. A giggling Cheney probably used the judge's order to wipe his butt this morning |
|
And then he made a phone call to Scalia to organize another hunting trip, just in case the issue over the claim of executive privilege should go up the court system to the Supremes.

6. I confess to being confused |
|
when he claimed executive privilege since he had earlier claimed he was not part of the executive branch...
on an unrelated note, I woke up this morning from a horrible nightmare; I dreamed some horrid brunette woman had been named VP candidate and that before she was in office, she had initiated war with Russia and Iran. Was I ever glad when I woke up....

10. Cheney has no respect |
|
for the Constitution. For over 200 years, there has been no question about which branch of the federal government the Constitution places the OVP in. And there is no mention of executive privilege in the Constitution.

and he's still walking around...Unbelievable. I weep for our country, the constitution and the checks and balances we used to have. Now Palin is already claiming executive privilege. Where did this come from and what is it supposed to cover? Apparently on Fox they must be telling their viewers that executive privilege is their right, because I got into an argument with an old friend over this the other day.
Hard to believe we've had our expectations whittled down to the point where I have to defend being upset that an elected official is claiming executive privilege when they swore to be transparent and accountable and furthermore, these emails were cc'd to her husband, who is not a government official.

He won't do it. This man has done nothing but show contempt for the rule of law. He'll walk away from this a very very rich man and have a great rest of his life. Not for one second will he have second thoughts and not for a nanosecond will his conscience bother him.
Suck on that America.

14. I'm sure he'll get right on the job |
|
--the job of forgetting exactly how many months ago it was that those records inexplicably abducted themselves from his secure servers' raid arrays and his walk-in office safe. It was all so many months ago now, and who can remember trivial details of paperwork like that when TERRORISTS ARE THREATENING TO KILL AMERICANS AT ANY MOMENT. In closing, may I add: 911, never again. Thank You and may God Continue To Rain His Blessings Down On America.
P.S. please delete all address book information for Vice President Richard B. Cheney that you may still have in your files following January 20th 2009. Correspondence to the Vice President may be addressed to Lewis I. Libbey, Esq. at the Watergate, Washington, D.C. Do not attempt to contact the Vice President at his mail drops or possible residences in Paraguay, Dubai, Singapore or the Turks and Caicos Islands, your envelopes will be discarded. Thank You.

19. Okay, so if someone is known to be a flight risk, we make sure their |
|
bail is set so high, that they can't get out of jail. And in Cheney's case, he hasn't been honest about anything and we're expecting him to obey this request?

26. It's appalling that there's not more of an effort to put an end to his bullshit. |
|
When's the last time a politician included in a stump speech biting criticism of transparent government and accountability?
Never?
Perhaps that's because almost everybody supports transparent government and accountability. It's not a liberal vs. conservative issue. This sort of thing is the low hanging fruit for the Democrats. They should be able to muster bi-partisan support to keep Cheney in check, but if Congressional Republicans and McCain/Palin don't wish to play ball then they've given easy fodder for a few more campaign ads for the Democrats.
