I honestly wonder if even some Repukes had any idea of the total truthlessness, mendacity and underlying fascism represented by Chimpco. Though googling the names Prescott Bush and Smedley Butler would give you a pretty fucking good idea. Your average dimbulb like Armey is wrong on every level, but not a fascist. Gingrich, well the Lizard was another matter.

The Bush family are this nation's Borgias. Evil and rotten to the core, ready to kill anything in their path to acquiring absolute power, corrupt on a level that cannot be imagined by anyone with a conscience. This hideous family should be extirpated root and branch from our national life to at least the third degree of consanguinity.

4. I was stunned by the Armey story which I heard first on TDS

in Stewart's interview of Barton Gellman (I think his name was.) Armey gets called into Cheney's office in the Capitol building (he's not entitled to one,but hey this is Dick fucking Cheney were talking about so he can have an office in the fucking Vatican if wants one) and Cheney goes to work on him to break down his resistance to the coming war. He pulls out some "dossiers" and tells Armey this is stuff we're not even telling the American people about because the threat Iraq poses is so immediate and grave... The choker is some file claiming to document Saddam Hussein's success or near success in miniaturizing nuclear weapons and his revealed intention to hand these weapons over to Al Qaeda which, another file on Cheney's desk purports to show, is in fact as close to Saddam as his tighty-whities.

After the war is over and no WMDs of any kind are found, Armey finds out that none of the stuff Cheney uncorked on him has ever been put forward by any American intelligence agency. It was plucked straight from the Vice Presidential rectum, and kept ready just for people like him - an important lawmaker with doubts qualms or scruples. Never thought I could ever feel sympathy for Dick Armey but life is sure full of surprises.

What was really stunning to me was the ease with which the Bush-Cheney cabal could flat out lie to and subvert one of their most important political allies. You can't really explain a phenomenon like Richard B. Cheney without recourse to theological concepts of evil or traveling to the limits of clinical psychopathology. Normal serial killers murder at most dozens of people. Cheney and his cowboy marionette have sown death and destruction from the eastern shores of the Mediterranean Sea to the western reaches of the Himalayas. He is something from Beyond the daylit human world.
