Why Does Sarah Palin HATE Rape Victims???
Edited on Sun Sep-21-08 07:50 AM by OmmmSweetOmmm
She charged rape victims for their rape kits and even when the state of Alaska put a law in place to stop it (because of Wasilla), she continued to charge them.

Palin is against abortion even in the case of rape and interest.

The last kicker is her new excuse for firing Monegan is that he wanted to go to Washington, DC ----

http://www.abcnews.go.com/Blotter/story?id=5844710&page=1

"The last straw," her lawyer argued, came when he planned a trip to Washington, D.C., to seek federal funds for an aggressive anti-sexual-violence program. The project, expected to cost from $10 million to $20 million a year for five years, would have been the first of its kind in Alaska, which leads the nation in reported forcible rape.

So I want to know, why does Palin hate victims of rape?

I would also like someone to create an ad about this for youtube or better yet for a 527. I have no skills at creating videos but this message has to get out. If this was known countrywide, McPalin would probably get only the backwash of the vote.

1. her particular brand of religiousity whackjobism considers women as cattle
and therefore, not enough of a level of personhood to be allowed the permission of objecting to sexual advances, since they have vaginas and were created as sperm receptacles.

I"m exaggerating, but not by much.

3. seriously, as I understand it, dominionists don't believe women should be
allowed to speak in church without their husband's permission.
I believe the only reason we have videos of Palin speaking in church is because she was a guest speaker, as governor.

its why "the first dude" was copied in on all her emails. Because he is running her life behind the scenes.

I've decided that Palin herself was once a rape victim.

She can't live with that, and is covered with shame. I doubt she told anyone or sought medical treatment, so she wants other women to feel as humiliated and lacking in options as she did. (The religious fanaticism plays into this, too, allowing herself to purge herself of guilt and blame.) Maybe she feels she was "asking for it," despite the fact that rape is a crime of violence, not sex. So she has used her legislative authority to make other women feel that both the assault and its aftermath are equally shameful acts.

IMHO

5. I don't even know how to respond to this. Do I feel sorry for her if she was
indeed a victim herself, or condemn her, as I would a child predator who was an abuse victim themselves?

The bottom line is that she has shown blatant and IMHO criminal disregard for rape victims* and this has to get out into the collective conscience.

*charging rape victims for rape kits seems like obstruction to justice to me, how about you????

6. I agree. Something doesn't smell right with her stands on rape, period.
My first thought was that she might have been raped as a young girl and never told anyone. There is more to this woman than meets the eye.

11. Thought that, too
But I'm betting her father molested her. There is something "creepy" about the father when he appears in interviews.

Sorry, but there just is.

7. I feel that charging women
for their own rape kits is an obstruction of justice, too. It's repellent to regard it solely as a budgetary matter. God help us if she feels this is a moral or theological issue.

Using your authority to degrade another group of its power -- even one to which you belong by birth -- is scapegoating. Palin seems to be a pro at this.

If Palin was raped, whatever her age, yes, I feel sorry for her. But my sorrow does not extend to her publicly vilifying and shaming women who have been assaulted or abused at the hands of their fathers or other relatives.

Again, this is only speculation on my part, but I believe the theory fits the facts as we know them.

The more I learn, the sicker I believe her to be.
