Paulson Resists Calls for Added Help(to Households!) in Bailout
WASHINGTON - Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is resisting a Democratic push to add additional help for households to the $700 billion bailout bill.

Paulson said Sunday that because financial markets remain under severe stress there is an urgent need for Congress to act quickly without adding other measures that could slow down passage.

"We need this to be clean and to be quick," Paulson said in an interview on ABC's "This Week."

4. But foreign banks doing business in the US can get in on the swindle!
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said on Sunday that foreign banks will be able to unload bad financial assets under a $700 billion U.S. proposal aimed at restoring order during a devastating financial crisis.

"Yes, and they should. Because ... if a financial institution has business operations in the United States, hires people in the United States, if they are clogged with illiquid assets, they have the same impact on the American people as any other institution," Paulson said on ABC television's "This Week with George Stephanopolous."

7. Quick! Give me $700 billion with no strings attached.
Congress should tell him to Go to Hell.

Legislation should not be rushed. That is how the Iraq War authorization was passed, in a rush.

9. This is fucking disgusting.
How dare they, how fucking dare they. Paulson and the republicans want to take my tax dollars and save a bunch of greedy fucking corporations but fuck me, fuck my neighbor, fuck the people paying these taxes - lets save the corporations.

It's fucking foul and disgusting and they will bankrupt this country if they essentially hold the taxpayers accountable for big corporate thievery not once but twice.

I hope all of these guys go straight to fucking hell.
