and unfortunately, they're the best of the three news networks!
Some may call it a lost cause, but stupid me, I still cling to hope ....
Dear MSNBC,
during your regular newscasts (that is, anchored news, not Morning Joe, Countdown, Rachel, or Hardball, which are opinion shows), I'd like to suggest that you stop interviewing partisan talking heads, especially if they're affiliated with the McCain and Obama campaigns. Some of the people I'm hearing are telling outright lies or maliciously twisting the facts to misrepresent the opposing candidates. There's a large pool of credible journalists and impartial political science academics that can be tapped for interviews, people who provide un-spun FACTS.
Please also add more diverse news reporting of other events going on in the country and world, especially in science, education, agriculture, and industry. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, watch BBC World News. People are hungry to know what's really going on in our country and other nations. If you tap into that need for unbiased knowledge, your ratings will go up. I promise ....
Oh, and what's the deal with those prison shows?! Occasional documentaries are fine, but MSNBC seems to be obsessed with them!
Thanks, Shireen
BTW, the "outright lies or maliciously twisting the facts" are coming from the McCain talking heads. I've never seen it with the Obama surrogates. But I can't say that, since I'm begging for impartial coverage!
