Guess Phil Gramm was right, we are a nation of whiners

AIG, Fannie, Freddie and the rest.

Whaaaaaa! Whaaaaa! We couldn't manage through a speculative bust. Whaaaaaa, the government needs to help us, whaaaaaaa! Whaaaaaa, give us money, whaaaaaa! Whaaaaaa, we don't want to fail, whaaaaaaa, help us, give us money.

If the management of AIG had anything that resembled an ounce of pride they would have told the government to shove it. They would have taken what happened and done their best to survive, if they didn't survive then they don't deserve to survive.

Hopefully President Obama will make it clear from the start, there is no government money for you. You fail, you fail.
