Anyone having trouble finding gas in metro Atlanta
I drove by nearly ten gas stations on my way to the store this afternoon. Almost all of them were out of regular gasoline, and I would say half were completely out of gas. Surprisingly though none of the gas stations I drove by had raised there prices, yet.

1. I heard there was a panic spread by rumor in Nashville and ATL
that there would be no gas this weekend/week

3. I don't know about the rumor
But I know several gas stations I drove by had paper bags over all the pumps, and those that did have gas only had "premium". I haven't read much about it in the news, just reporting what I saw. It may just be locally a gas shortage.

4. I don't know about the rumor, but I passed by 7 stations on my way home from the grocery store
and none of them had gas. This is in Covington, GA - 30 miles SE of Atlanta. Luckily, my husband got his alloted 10 gallons yesterday. I have half a tank right now and will top off at the first place I find that has any gas and will probably fill all of our gas cans.

This is getting ridiculous.

5. We got some last night. They only had regular unleaded.
It was at a QT - the cheap place. $3.97/gallon.

6. CNN ran that stupid rumor story.
The pipeline that serves Middle TN was at 20% and gas was in short supply and people topping off their tanks exacerbated the problem. CNN ran a story that a rumor spread around town that we would be out of gas in an hour and so everybody panicked even though there was plenty of gas. I wrote them an email and told them how much they suck at reporting. Only 15% of the stations had gas for a couple of days. We are back at 60% or so now. I have heard there are shortages throughout the southeast. Wonder if CNN will say the same thing about Atlanta? It's all a rumor and you guys are panicking over nothing.
