I'm a hard socialist, but I'll run for student government on a libertarian platform this year... |

Two of my main issues will be:
1. To add a new provision to the campus gambling policy that would exempt poker tournaments with a buy-in of < $20 from the campus' gambling bans. I go to Carleton University, not Pensacola Christian College, thank you very much.
2. To allow sanctioned student club and societies to hold fundraisers wherein food and drink are allowed to be sold. Currently, Aramark and Sodexho (aka Scab Central...They treat labour like shit and I have friends back home who've been really screwed by them.) have a monopoly on campus food services that make this impossible. This monopoly was negotiated without any input from students, and the student left hates it because it's anti-student and anti-union while the student right REALLY hates it because it violates free-market principles.
I think these two principles alone would get me the support of everyone outside of Campus Crusade for Christ and the Board of Governors. :-P
