2. Trying to find the prison guard who drew the cross in the dirt?
To help him get the story straight, of course.

I thought Caribou Coffee was a national chain.

4. It is...
Just that whenever I see that word I associate it with Palin now.

From the wiki link in the OP:

In 1990, on a trip to Denali National Park in Alaska, Caribou Coffee was imagined by newlyweds John and Kim Puckett. The couple raised money to start the first Caribou Coffee shop in Edina, Minnesota, a suburb of Minneapolis, in 1992. Following several years of mixed performance, the Pucketts sold their controlling interest in the company in 1998 for $120 million to Atlanta-based Crescent Capital, which has since changed its name to Arcapita. The company continues to hold a majority of the common stock of Caribou.<3>

Since opening, the chain has expanded to 464 locations in 18 states and the District of Columbia,<4> making it the second-largest operator of non-franchised coffeehouses in the United States, after Starbucks Corporation. This includes 24 licensed locations in the U.S. and two overseas markets. Caribou maintains its headquarters and coffee-roasting facility in the Minneapolis metropolitan area. In 2005, Caribou Coffee's majority stakeholder Arcapita completed an IPO of Caribou. On September 28, 2005, Caribou Coffee became a publicly traded company.

6. Also, it's possible that it was the McCain campaign that paid for
...the notorious "Pink Party" - brought to light by ABC's Brian Ross

8. Hmmmm..Cindy McCain took a recent trip there!
If this is the same time period as the bill was paid on FEC.

My question: if it was PAID for by the presidential campaign..how is it considered a "private" trip organized by the UN??? All of her zillions of dollars and she resorts to using campaign money to pay her hotel bill..assuming this is the same trip. Either way it looks bad, IMHO.

Cindy McCain in Cambodia
McCain's wife, Cindy McCain, visited the main garbage dump in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh on Monday and met with impoverished children who scavenge there, The Associated Press reported from Phnom Penh.

McCain visited the sprawling Stung Meanchey dump, where the refuse of Phnom Penh's 1.5 million people ends up, said Pen Kosal, an official with For the Smile of a Child, a French aid group that helps feed children who scavenge the dump.

McCain toured the aid group's office, located near the dump, and spoke to several children at breakfast, he said.

Jeff Daigle, the U.S. Embassy spokesman, declined to comment on Cindy McCain's trip, saying it was private and organized by the UN program. McCain was in Cambodia on the last stop of a three-nation tour. She also visited Vietnam and Thailand.

13. Yep...earlier today. Maybe the money trails will be his final undoing
I remember during the primaries how the FEC lists were picked apart here on DU...it needs to start happening again but with McCain's list.

Someone needs tell Queen Cindy that once you use presidential donations and it ends up on the FEC list, there is no "oh, we won't be discussing her trip because it was private, blah, blah, blah".

Wonder what else she has charged to the campaign??

10. Looks like there is the Raffles in Singapore but also a similiar
named one in Cambodia. Googling both names brings up one in Singapore and another in Cambodia.

11. Only the best for John and Cindy.
Looks like they got a bargain, though. Raffles Le Royal suite has a rack rate of $2500 per night.

Located in the heart of Phnom Penh, Raffles Hotel Le Royal is only 20 minutes' drive from Phnom Penh International Airport and is within easy access of the city's attractions such as the Royal Palace, Central Market, Russian Market and the National Artefacts Museum.

14. Paid for her (and her daughter's?) airline ticket over to Singapore, also
So so they think that all these Singapore and Cambodia charges to his presidential campaign are going to blend in with the rest of the list? Let's see (real items seen so far): "7-11, Bed, Bath and Beyond...and, oh yeah, Singapore Airlines and luxurious Cambodian Hotel".

15. 7-11?
You mean Slurpees and Big Gulps aren't a legitimate campaign expenses?

And doesn't every campaign bus need a matching duvet and bedruffle? I'm thinking "straight talk pink", with tiny white flowers...
