Spoiler Alert - "Best Actress in a Miniseries" great comment from winner
Edited on Sun Sep-21-08 08:21 PM by dflprincess
Laura Linney (sp) just won the Emmy for her role in "John Adams"

In her speech she said everytime she looks at the Emmy she will remember how thankful she is for the "community organizers" who founded the country.

On Edit - sorry for the original title - I thought the show was broadcast live across the country.

1. SPOILER ALERT!
Some of us won't see it until later.

Did you see Tommy Smothers? My friend just called to tell me he gave a fabulous speech about activism.

2. Great comment!
There will probably be more comments like that from the winners (hopefully). Linney was fabulous in 'John Adams'.

10. Linney was good in JA but Phylicia Rashad should have won.

Her performance was AMAZING.

Nonetheless, I did like Linney's and Smothers' speeches. I was shocked by the non-partisan Jon Stewart though.
