are souless, blood-suckers (see Cheney, Dick). But wealth itself is not inherently evil (see Kennedy, Ted).

11. Exactly. I went to a private high school. I knew wealthy families.
Some were great people, very informed and compassionate.

Some, I wouldn't trust as far as I could collectively throw them.

12. Neutral. Assholes are assholes, and there are rich ones and poor ones
and white ones and black ones and Hispanic ones and Asian ones and female ones and male ones and gay ones and straight ones and atheist and Jewish and Muslim and Christian ones...

But mostly there seem to be rePiglican ones. And those are the ones I really despise.

16. I don't have a view
of "the rich." Rather I view individuals based upon their merits or lack of them. Some of them are really great philanthropists and do a lot for their fellow man, while others are selfish scumbuckets.

22. The richest guy I knew inherited everything from Daddy
And he thought he was a self-made man, arrogant little prick that he was.

His dad was a self-made millionaire, and he never forgot that at one time he didn't have a pot to piss in let alone a window to throw it out of. The old man warned me that ten minutes after he was dead, we would be sold. He was right.

Sonny Boy got a valuable life lesson when he threatened to close up shop if we went on strike. We laughed at him, so he locked us out after taking a strike vote, but before the date set for a strike.

Dumbass didn't realize we could all go on unemployment because he abrogated the labor agreement. We were in no big hurry to go back to work, and he lost millions in lost sales. The jackass.

25. Why do parents leave business to kids like him?
I've always wondered why they do it, if they know the kid is an idiot and will mismanage and/or piss away everything.

I'd leave it all to charity if my kids were that way.

23. Depends on how they got rich.
If Grandpa swindled Wall Street into the Great Depression while funding Hitler, Daddy was the biggest drug smuggler and assassination coordinator of the 20th century, and your family's friends and business partners are named Hinkley and Bin Laden........

Well, odds are that you're pretty much a piece of shit.

32. Right about now, disgusted.
There isn't a reason on earth anyone should hoard as much unneeded wealth as these people do. ZERO.

Read Perfectly Legal and Free Lunch by David Cay Johnston to see how much larger the wealth inequality gap is destined to get, thanks to Republican and corporate back-scratching and poor-stomping.

33. Depends on the person, not so much their money....
I mean, I have a hard time being negative toward someone just because they may be successful. Now, how they got that money and how they behave is something to judge them on. I mean, there are a lot of people out there who made a lot of money actually creating things that we all use. I dunno, is that considered "new money" or something? I've interacted with some of the people I'm thinking of and I always thought most were cool intelligent people. Now, there are the CEOs of those huge mega corps who seems to fuck people over... well, I tend to look at them with contempt. Even though I know it may be broad brushed and some may be decent people.... I'm probably speaking in ignorance here, but I just don't think they do enough to justify huge ridiculous salaries.

Anyways, I'd prefer to judge people case by case... 'Rich' has a huge range too.

38. It's not about personalities or if someone is a nice guy--it's about an ABUSIVE SYSTEM.
A "nice guy" should not live like a king while people around him starve, even if he's amusing at parties. :eyes:
