I am suffering from a serious case of outrage fatigue. I don't know how much more I have in me. I'm just......so........fucking........tired......of the whole........damn.........thing. I just want my damn country back and I feel so helpless.

Sorry I'm not too eloquent, but I'm just......so.......tired of it all.

1. "Outrage Fatigue"
What a perfect term. I have a case of it, too.

I finally went on meds to combat some of the freak-outs provoked by the endless nonsense, but even that didn't prevent me from getting fired up over this bailout foolishness.

I'm fed up with being fed up and about to say to hell with all of it.

4. Quit whining. This is nothing. You are not the only one suffering.
I'm sorry you are suffering, but so are others. Further, the USA has endured much worse and emerged stronger than ever.

The nation endured the Great Depression for seven or ten years, depending how you count it (1932-39 or 1929-39) and then got hit by a truly World War that soaked up something like half the economy. That lasted four or six years, depending how you count it (1941-45 or 1939-45). Britain got hit by the same Depression and greater deeper war and rationing that lasted years after the war.

The 1973 recession, which I experienced was deeper than this 2008 recession is likely to be.

Obama is our best hope, and I think he is a very good hope. But it will take some backbone and resolve on the part of the citizens of the US.

Yes we can.

11. one disagreement (and for the record I hope you are right)
this will make 1973 look like a walk in the proverbial park

If I am wrong, I will gladly eat the crow pie

12. Did I say I was the only one suffering?
Ok, Phil Gramm, I'll stop whining. Thank you for the lecture.

Geez.
