My simple letter to Congress against the bailout
When I hear the forceful pleas of politicians and bankers so vociferous regarding the impending collapse of the economy if the bailout is not approved, one word above all others springs to mind to describe what is happening: BLACKMAIL. Because these are not pleas when it involves the transfer of $700 billion and maybe more from failed bankers and other fraudulent financiers to the pocketbooks of the innocent American masses; they are THREATS from the wealthy against the workers: comply with our demands or we will bury you as much as the system permits.

I say: ENOUGH!!! This is supposed to be a government of the people, for the people, and by the people, not of the many, for the few, and by the corrupted. If you have any semblance of a conscience, you will not vote for this bailout. You will work towards a solution that values justice over convenience. It may seem more convenient to stick this collosal trainwreck on the backs of American workers, but it is the antithesis of justice!

1. I also played to their ethics and conscience. Hopefully, they will listen.
If they give this money to this corrupt administration/treasury, the U.S. is done. I can't see them doing the right thing...I just can't see it.

I see the final rape of the country before they go out the door for the last time. Of course, if they don't get their way, I can see them declaring martial law and stopping the election.

I cannot believe my feelings have come to this, but I have lost all confidence in our government.

2. I agree with you completely.
I still have hope that the sheeple are finally starting to wake up, get off their couches, and fight against what you accurately describe as rape. But I have no confidence in our government. I'm surprised Bush's approval is as high as 19%.

4. Republicans are immoral. They have NO humanity.

I love your letter.I want every Democrat in power to replace the word "mistake" with IMMORAL. Every time they speak about Republicans on the bailout or any other issue, they must use the word IMMORAL. Republicans don't make mistakes they are IMMORAL. They know exactly what they are doing. That is their family values front and center. They have no humanity, they have no soul. I read yesterday that Boehner said it is not a time to play games. He's the king of games. Next I'm waiting for Repubs to say we're doing a dog and pony show. No soul, no humanity, just greed and evil.
