CNBC - for a free laugh
Citibank's top female exec walks off the job.
Morgan Stanley was doing well, until.
The whole market has changed, and never again with the hedge funds, swaps, derivatives.
The bailout plan rocks. except it may not roll.
The bailout plan sucks, and won't stop anything.
This is the start of a bad, bad time.
This is the end of a rocky road, things are looking up.
They declared war on short sellers, screwing those in the market forever.
WaMu will go bankrupt.
The market was not fooled by this Paulson scheme - except they have to do something. They HAVE TO!
It is time to get out of the market.
It is time to invest in the market (With WHAT?)
It is time to hunker down and keep your head low, but stay in the market.
It is time for me to change my shorts.
Morgan lucked out - now they are fully regulated, which will correct their ship.
Goldman was strong, except where it wasn't.
Lehmann just had bad luck.
Lehmann screwed itself.

The desperation would be funny, but for the impact their puppy puddle is having on everyone and everything in this world.

1. After reading your post...

...all of my neurons rebelled and tied themselves into some kind of gordian knot.

Is there something I can take?

2. CNBC is totally a comedy channel......
.... Their hosts and many of their guests remind me of all those really dumb people in college who thought they were really smart.

3. typical econo-speak
These people must have extremely bad memories. One day the DOW will be way up and they will cite investor confidence, blah, blah, blah. Some big over-arching global reason for what happened that day. The next day the DOW will tank and they will completely reverse course and find some big over-arching global reason for what happened that day. They need to tell the truth - it is all just a big poker game and everybody is betting and bluffing. Buying and holding s stock for 12 minutes before selling it to make a little bit of profit is not "investing". It is all psychology and speculation.
