How many congressional republicans candidates will support total compensation, parachutes, et al...
Edited on Mon Sep-22-08 01:41 PM by LaPera
....for all these greedy lying CEO thieves involved in the financial system bailout. 700 billion dollars.....get real!

It'll end up being well over a trillion dollars, is more like it, republicans always low-ball the cost for public consumption and then later announce it's going to cost more than they planned (after the politicians & corporate thieves get their hands on our tax dollars with no restraints).

Republicans, who have been preaching and implementing legislation for government deregulation for these same corporation - caving to lobbyist who demanded little or no oversight for their represented corporations....Deregulation has been the republican mantra for over a hundred years...And likable robot liar Reagan got the ball rolling for the republicans and the corporations...

And now they have the nerve try and push through, without telling the American people that the bailout plan also calls for billions of dollars in bonuses, from our tax dollars, to go to the CEOs of these same failed corporations - What republican (or democratic) candidates will be supporting this bullshit?

How are we going to pay for this bail out...Bush has already put us in huge hole of debt, which increases by billions of dollars each & every day he's in office. Bush & the republicans better announce how they plan on paying for it....but they never will republicans won't admit to having to raise taxes....Yet the republicans know that it's the only way the bail out can be paid for....but they want the democrats to do it, then blame the democrats for raising taxes...

The republicans do this over & over, raid our treasury, force the Dems to raise taxes, for the slimy republican deeds and then blame the democrats for high taxes, saying vote republican, we'll cut taxes (of course only only for the rich). Then the short term memory of the gullible American public will simply buy the republican rhetoric & lies again & again.

This of course was a long planned bail out, not only for corporate profit but to also destroy our social structure and programs, all democratic sponsored programs like Social Security which has been hated & despised by ALL republicans since their inception, i.e. the New Deal.

This has been republicans/Bush/Cheney/Rove/Norquist plan from the beginning, just as the Iraq & Afghanistan wars were planned for corporate profit, as well as using the wars to bankrupt our social structure....now it's getting late and it's time to pay up....

Republican ideology & philosophy dictates that our tax dollars should go to the rich & the corporations...their ideology & agenda also dictates that the poor, the workers & middle class are on their own, never to expect government help for their tax dollars.

So let's see exactly who's for unlimited & full executive compensation in this bullshit bailout plan.

2. They were going to get it one way or another, weren't they?

I say we don't let them have a pleasant retirement. They shouldn't be allowed their parachutes, and they should all have to lawyer up from multiple lawsuits.

3. You're correct, taxes will have to be raised, but who's going to raise them, the republicans

certainly won't cop to having to raise them, even though the repugs cause and encouraged this bail out.
