Stealing Money From Taxpayers To Pay For Wall Street Bail-Outs Is Not Socialism |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-22-08 01:47 PM by Better Believe It
That's hardcore capitalism and capitalists running the government to serve their interests.
Nothing new.
The idea that the proposed 700 billion dollar bailout is some kind of socialism for the rich is silly at best. And it gives socialism a bad name!
If people keep writing that this bailout is socialism and socialism is for the rich many people will start to believe that hogwash!
It's old fashioned capitalism and it isn't the first time the rich have used the government to cover their "loses" and/or increase their riches.
They've been doing that every year! Look at all of the laws that have been passed by a bi-partisan Congress in just the past decade .... laws that have
favored the rich at the expense of working people. From de-regulation of the markets and transportation to the Bankruptcy Law "reform" it's been a wild
and wonderful ride for the ruling rich. And now the casino capitalists will get hundreds of billions of dollars from us to cover their gambling losses.
They will get it. That's the bottom line in whatever legislation is passed. They will get it.
So please people .... don't give socialism a bad name and black eye by describing the Wall Street bailout as some sort of socialism.
It ain't socialism it's Capitalism with a capital C!
And it's not Fascism either. If people don't know what the hell fascism is and how it got into power in Germany, Italy and Spain they shouldn't be
throwing that term around like a cuss word.
If people yell "ohhh ohhhh it's fascist, it's fascism nazism" ... today, people won't pay any attention to you when the real thing comes along. And it
will come along.
Read some serious history on Nazi Germany, on Italy if you really want to know and understand what fascism is and how to fight it.
If you don't want to hit the books and do so some serious reading, I suppose you could just run around in your neighborhood yelling "fascists, fascists, fascists" and look like a fool or some 'left-winger" on drugs.

1. well, no, it's not really capitalism at all... it's cronyism or fascism |
|
but it really has nothing at all to do with a free market.

2. Actually, it's fascism - using the government to FORCE repayment... |
|
of private losses with money taken from the people under the threat of incarceration.

8. Mussolini said as much: |
|
"Fascism should rightly be called Corporatism, as it is the merger of corporate and government power."

7. This is the 3rd huge bailout in 20 years, do we ever catch on that |
|
we are being robbed again?
Wait until the quadrillion dollar derivatives market goes...
We just have to face it, the system has reached entropy, we will have no choice but to create it's replacement so we might as well get it over with, while we can still debate the merits of various new systems.
Personally, I think a time-based currency is the most equitable solution.
