Despite the war dead and the devastated economy, here is some bright news for Repubicans:
Despite thousands of dead Americans and thousands upon thousands of dead Iraqi children, despite a collapsing economy and continued election fraud that will all but certainly ruin our nation: your efforts to stop me from marrying the one I love are still completely successful. Kudos to you.

While you have not stopped me from loving her or from fluffing her pillow when she's sick or from our families spending Christmas together, when you lose your pension fund, when you look into the eyes of your malnourished grandchildren, when you attend your son's funeral after his suicide, remember that all the suffering is worth it: you have still managed to make our lives complicated and at times very stressful. Only for the time being, though. Soon another generation will take over and all that you sacrificed your country for--exclusionary practices--will likely be overturned.

But when you're looking wistfully out of the yellowed plexiglass window of the local Saud-Halliburton "Deng Xiou Peng Memorial" Sanitorium from the Elderly of Oklahoma, you can look back fondly to that one moment in American history when you--if only for a instant and at all cost--interfered in the lives of people who loved one another.

Be proud.

4. Republicans don't care about the dead
Dead soldiers, dead Iraqis. No matter to them, just pawns in the game and a means to an end.
