"clean and quick" does not sound good.
"We need this to be clean and quick," Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said.

3. A surgical strike on the Treasury and Social Security Trust Fund
Kind of like arthroscopic surgery - make a small incision and remove all of that loose money

4. Executioner's song
Edited on Mon Sep-22-08 04:21 PM by mcg
Give me thy neck
be it narrow or thick.
There be no ragged cuts
my aim's clean and quick.

If thou wish me quicker yet,
just ask it
As thy head topples downward
into the basket!

No, this needs to be thought out carefully,
the Democrats should not just give in to whatever
the Bush administration says.

The Republicans need to quickly capitulate to the Democrats' demands.
If this drags on, it is the fault of the Republicans. Bush and his ilk
are not in a position to dictate terms.

It is so transparent what Bush and his cronies are trying to do here,
they want to hold our economy hostage.
