And would one get one's hand repeatedly smacked with a ruler for daring to express it?

IS THERE cause for real alarm or concern, or should everyone 'just relax' and let the system work?

Which one o' dese?

2. Alarmed yes, panic not quite, let me tell you why
being alarmed means you are paying attention

Panicked means rash actions

Oh and just relax, what who is saying that? NOT PAYING ATTENTION

3. I'm not in panic mode yet, but I am not sitting passively either.
I moved a great deal of our assets out of the dollar this morning.
It is my humble suggestion that others consider moving a percentage to safe havens
for what ever assets you currently own in dollars.

Still investigating other places.
And don't forget physical PM.
I like dealing with Monex.

16. thanks for the suggestion. At this point, I'm beginning to
think that one has to take physical possession.

5. I'm not saying that you're at fault, I'm just saying that I blame you.
Twelve ruler smacks on your hands by Sister Mary Bunsen Burner!

How dare you be only slightly alarmed or panicked?

7. Neither
If there's a problem, solve it. If it's a major problem, prioritize it.

Alarm and panic do not help solve problems.

10. Chill, you'll be fine, you might have tsunami in your subjective reality,
but unless you're supremely happy with your day to day that could be a good thing. Subjective tsunami are good things for both the individual and groups. Cleansing. like a high colonic, it gets rid of old shit.

12. I wonld be the last person to label you a "concern troll" with respect to this
country's current financial debacle. Your fears are well placed.

You DO realize that THIS is our "October Surprise"? Complete collapse of the economy unless we do what they demand of us.......

15. Sec. 8. Review.
Edited on Mon Sep-22-08 05:58 PM by tnlefty
Decisions by the Secretary pursuant to the authority of the Act are non-reviewable and committed to agency discretion, and may not reviewed by any court or any administrative agency.

That scares the hell out of me, but Ms. Pelosi is currently talking tough, and based on her history of talking tough, then caving, that, too, scares the hell out of me!

Call me whatever, but I'm more unnerved about this than 2 401Ks and a pension plan. I have a feeling that under this section, we'll lose it all anyway.

17. I'm not freaking out, but my stomach has been hurting lately
I've kind of written off the idea that I'll be able to pay for my kids college. Hopefully I'll be employed for another 6 mo. or so, but I'm not that confident of that. :(
