My Brother's BAILOUT plan... pick it apart |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-22-08 04:26 PM by Rosco T.
We were talking earlier and he came up with this one.. someone tell me where the problem is?
- Forget giving anything to the banks/etc DIRECTLY.
- set up offices around the country, EACH AND EVER CITIZEN IS URGED TO COME IN with their debts (house, car, student loans, credit cards, etc..)
- the GOVERNMENT will make payment DIRECTLY to the companies that own the account up $100,000 for each DEBTOR (no, YOU can't pay off YOUR WIFE's DEBT unless your name is on it.)
- no extras, no cash in hand, they are paying YOUR DEBT to the companies.
let's see, your debt is reduced/eliminated, the companies that need the money GET THE MONEY.
Where's the downside?
((don't yack about people charging things up again, you can't fix stupid))

and yet, because there was no Wall Street bail out, I have lost all my retirement, all pension funds and everything in my 401K which is all I hadfor retirement but now everything is gone and you still want my tax money to go to pay off your debts? Did I get this right?

and to the poster who mentioned his stock assets....if the companies are getting their money one way or the other, it still saves the market. This way, we help those in need though.
