My friend used to have all her insurance with AIG

For years she had her homeowners, car, life, all her insurance with them. Then one day a few years ago AIG called her and said we didn't get the check for your homeowners insurance from your mortgage company. So she called the mortgage company and they said yes, they had paid it. So she called AIG and the mortgage company sent them a copy of the canceled check. AIG said they needed the original canceled check. They went back and forth like this for about a month and all this time, she had no homeowners insurance. So finally one day while she was talking to AIG she said "Now I understand why Elliot Spitzer is investigating you!"

THAT DAY AIG canceled ALL of her policies.

This is how these big corporations are. Why the fuck are we bailing them out??
