Two questions for those of you foolish enough to support the Afghan war...
1. How the fuck is a pro-West Islamist faction any better for the people of Afghanistan than an anti-West faction of the same kind had been?

2. How can any rational progressive believe that the Mujahideen were the good guys and the socialists were the bad guys in the Afghan Civil War of the 1970s and 1980s? Which side wanted to liberate women, destroy the feudal system, and give every Afghan a proper education?

2. Amen to this question!
I always see those signs about ending the war and I'm like, um, there are TWO wars and both are illegal/immoral. A waste of human life and money we so desperately need.

3. Afghanistan is primarily about the oil/gas pipelines and a pro-western Caspian corridor.

4. No army has won Afghanistan for centuries. That's a no man land.
We were naive to go there, same as Iraq.
