hey Democrats - no "bailout" voting until after the election - a rationale on dailykos that
explains how repubs will profit if dems vote yes on any bailout plan while repubs suddenly all vote against it to paint the dems as bought and sold by the financial industry.

now on the www.dailykos.com main page

Voila the repubs put up a draconian and devious bailout knowing well the dems will alter it yet still vote for it anyway.

personally I agree that mega-bailouts need to be postponed until we see who is the next president.

2. And whose fault is it that the economy is tanking?
Not us - for sure.

6. The preponderence of the evidence points to a bailout failure.
Every other bail out failed and all they do is ask for more money. Why believe them now.

4. Hey! It's tanking now! Been tanking for some time.
And the more it tanks, the more Obama wins by. Republicans should kiss the Democrats ass for being willing to lift a finger to save their sorry asses.

11. If you think the stock market is tanking now, you have no idea what you are talking about.
Right now is a picnic compared to what many liberal economists predict will happen if no action is taken.

8. How is the Faux economy working for you now? How does giving the parasitic bastards who have
been looting our body politic for the last 25 years a Trillion dollar check going to help?
No bailout without real regulations,
limits executive pay to be only after tax profits voted on by the shareholders,
Require congressional oversight and court jurisdiction over any action
Public equity in any company we rescue equal to our investment in their bad debt.

10. How do you know what the stock market will do?
I don't.

I do know that giving Bush more power is a bad idea. He abuses all the power he has.

7. If there is no bail out Obama wins.
If there is no bail out Bush will look like crap and so will Minnie-me McSame as Bush's economic plan has clearly failed.

9. If Gramm is the Sec. of Treasury that would be worse.
Until the election, take over any bank that "seizes up" and put in liquidity that way. The right way. All of them if necessary.

I agree this is a stick up, and we should not do it unknown.

This is more crazy gambling! Now we're supposed to do it too. NO!
