Atlanta gas crunch: 'We've got no gas here'
ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- Mohammed Hussain got 3,000 gallons of gas delivered to his Chevron station in suburban Atlanta on Saturday. By Sunday morning, all of the gas, priced at $4.39 per gallon for regular unleaded, was gone.

"We're dry. We've got no gas here," Hussain, the station's manager, said Monday morning.

He said he has "no idea" when the next shipment will come, even though he's been in constant contact with the local terminal.

"It could be days," he said. "Obviously, we're disappointed. We're being patient. That's all we can do."

4. Will all DUers join me in breaking out their Schwinns?
If people would bike, walk, or use public transit to places within 3-4 miles of their houses (and I think that covers most journeys by car), then demand would decrease, which would lead to lower prices of oil (as we saw recently), as well as greater supply! And all the other benefits, of course, like less traffic and pollution. C'mon, people now, smile on your brother...let's all do our parts :)

5. How about only selling
gas to those with vehicles that get at least 20 miles per gallon? Maybe that would finally convince idiots with gas-guzzlers that they should reconsider their car choice.

6. It's reality. We went to 5 stations yesterday
to find gas to go to my father-in-law's 80th birthday celebration. For normal day-to-day life, we can walk or bike to everything. However, this party was a 45 minute drive out of town and Pop might not make it to 81! When we did find it, we waited in a short line and it was 4.99/gallon, regular only. Of course, we saw some stations with gas once we got to our destination, doh. Maybe it's worse closer to the city.

The last time I put gas in my car was 9/11/08 and purely by accident. This was the day before the panic started that left the gas stations without gas. The stations have not recovered from it since, like the article says, it sells out as soon as it arrives. I think I can make it another 5 or 6 days without gas. But I spoke to a lady at lunch today who had looked and couldn't find gas nearby and she was worried about getting to her night classes.

7. No worries then
Real worries start when there is not enough gas to fill up the supermarkets with vital nutrients.
