Palin's comrades in spirit, they are.

Ankara - Turkish internet users have been blocked via a court order from accessing the site of prominent British biologist Richard Dawkins after complaints from lawyers for Islamic creationist author Adnan Oktar, the website of Turkish television station NTV reported on Wednesday.

A court in Istanbul ordered that Turk Telekom block access to the site and since the weekend Turkish internet users seeking the site have been redirected to a page that says in Turkish 'access to this site has been suspended in accordance with a court decision'.

NTV reported that Oktar complained he and his creationist book 'Atlas of Creation' had been defamed by comments made by Dawkins on the site.

'I am at a loss to reconcile the expensive and glossy production values of this book with the breathtaking inanity of the content,' Dawkins, a distinguished advocate of the theory of evolution, wrote on his website in July referring to the Atlas of Creation.

The book has caused controversy not just through its advocation of creationism but also through how thousands of copies of book were distributed to schools in a number of European countries. (more at link)

4. Indeed that could be America--and soon.
Say McCain wins in another inexplicable "squeaker" victory for the Republicans. But then after he becomes President his cancer decides to have a Surge of its own. After a year of debilitating treatments and occasional hospitalizations, with crucial legislation piling up on his desk all the while, McCain steps down to spend more time with his oncologist or hospice director, then we would have a full-on theocrat sitting at the controls of our Unitary Executive Government. (Dismantling the Unitary Executive Rule by Edict and Inherent Police Powers that Bush created will surely not be a McCain priority whether he's healthy or ill). It might be only a year or a few months away.
Heck, McCain is so old he could punch out any day from a stroke without any warning signs. Sarah's Bible humping friends would be organizing torch light processions for a return to chastity, and exorcising demons and speaking in tongues in the White House before McCain was even cold in the ground. Have your duffel bag packed and ready for immediate departure.

2. Not just in spirit.
They've attended conferences in Turkey to denounce evolution and have it thrown out of school curriculum in favor of teaching creationism. :eyes:

6. Ya know something, comrardes?
What we have here is irrefutable proof that socialists who defend the accommodation of Islamic ideas entering their ideology and civil society, they need to shut their fucking mouth and learn some history.
