If the $700 billion dollar bailout is so very bad ... |
|
... why are the Democrats in congress going for it and only arguing about the details?
Just remember folks, it doesn't happen without congress and the Democratic Party controls both houses of congress.
Could it be "they" are telling the truth about how it's necessary to prevent a complete collapse? Not that it will give us a good economy of course, only that total collapse is worse.

does not look out for Main Street. It is the same old Wall Street trickle down economics theory.

2. They allowed Bush to scare them before and they're doing it, again. |

They let him scare them into passing The Patriot Act, the Iraq War Resolution, and the FISA bill.
No one knows what will happen economically in the next four months with or without this bill. I'm not scared of what will happen in the next four months with no bill.
Stocks rise and fall. If stocks go down which have real value, those stocks will go back up.

3. Chinese threatened to dis-assemble the World Monetary Sys |
|
Which would result in a sever Global Depression
The result will be the American Working Class will attempt to bear this great debt until JUST America's monetary system crumbles
From a strategic sense "If you actually Considered America FIRST" you would let the whole system crumble. At least then we would be on equal footing with the rest of the world.

5. That is like saying if the President's budget is so bad |

why do the Democrats only want to change the details?
The proposed plan was atrocious. Even many Republicans couldn't support it.

sadly all these cries of "no bailout" are typical American bravado. Just see what happens when the economy collapses and 90% of the posters on this board no longer have a home, electricity or food to survive. We are talking financial armegeddon and something needs to be done to prevent it. Do I think Paulson should be given a blank check, no, but that isn`t the issue, the issue is the total meltdown of the financial markets, which in turn introduces a depression that will make 1929 look like a tea and cake party.
You want global wars and complete social breakdown then fine, fuck the bailout, personally, I like the way I live, I like having things such as electricity and running water, I like being able to walk the streets at night and I like food.
I have never seen so many holier -than-thou- constitutionalists on both DU and FR in my life crawl out of the woodwork, based on what exactly? Phony outrage and a total ignorance to the gravity of the situation. so I`ll tell you what you should do, go out and vote for Ron Paul, because judging by the posts I have been reading, he far more represents the majority view on both boards than Obama or McCain.
