HEADLINE: "Bush seeks to assure world leaders about bailout plan"

NEW YORK - President Bush sought to assure anxious world leaders on Monday that the United States is taking "bold, aggressive, decisive action" to rescue the crisis-ridden economy with a $700 billion bailout package. "The whole world is watching to see if we can act quickly," Bush said, prodding lawmakers in Washington to approve his plan

1. How'd he do that? Tell them he'd be leaving soon and Barack Obama would be in charge?

3. We are screwed. Mr "with us or against us" does not inspire confidence.
BTW, Bush looks like he's trying to stifle a big belch in that pic.

5. Bush brings fruition to Reagan's cynical joke
"We're from the US Govt and we're here to help you"

The Iraqis got the first dose. Bush was so pleased with the results that he figured it's time to offer it to the rest of the world.

Pretty clear that the Republican mandate actually is to prove that government (in their hands) does not, can not, will not, never does, work. Ever.

I think that should be the Bush Doctrine. But I guess it was already Reagan's.

10. I bet he thinks the ensuing chorus of head-slaps was really applause.
Can we put Bush and Cheney in prison now?
