Miners call for work halt over NRA political filming
The NRA is trying to force Miners to make statements against Obama, with the mining company's blessing. The Miners, and the Union are having none of it!

1. I believe Monongalia County is in West Virginia, close to the PA border.
I'm glad the Pittsburgh Post Gazette picked up this story.

between Maryland and Pennsylvania, that little finger bit...my family is from there originally...

On Edit: my grandfather worked for the coal mines, lived in their house and shopped at the company store...the coal mine totally owned you until the unions came in...

5. Yeah,
that was the county seat...my family is from Thomas-Davis area...back in the day they lived in a coalmine town called BenBush then retired and bought a farm in Eglin. It's also close to Deep Creek Maryland where a lot of the politicians have summer cottages...

there is...especially in the morning when you can see the mist around the mountain tops...don't like the roads though..

On Edit: Monongalia Valley was exceptional with cold water springs that we used to slide down the slate bottems to cool off in, but since they flooded it for a cooling pond for the Nuclear Reactor it's not as nice...no more springs...
