2. I already grow most my own food. |
|
I'm already set up to pump water from my well without electricity. I have enough firewood on my property to stay warm. I have provisions for cooking without electricity. I have a solar charger form my mp3 player, so entertainment is taken care of. :) I have lots of books and plenty of candles, plus gobs of bulk wax and wicks.

Geebus.
Although, maybe I should stick with the Flying Spagetti Monster.
That Geebus guy that the Giggling Murderer talks about, seems to have an obsession with war and violence...

You can only plan for so much - we don't really know what we'll be up against until it happens.
What are your plans?

I'll always have work, regardless of the coming economic meltdown or not. . . not that I'm not horrified.

9. Maybe. I'm an RN, too. |

They may have to lay off some and the ones working will have horrible conditions. Our pay may have to go down but at least we could have a paycheck of some kind.

22. Not in Indiana. Our nurses are too much wimps. |
|
I've tried to talk to some of my co-workers about needing a union and many of them don't like unions. DUH! I guess it would have to get pretty bad before they would even think about it. Yeah, it sucks.

off some beautiful beach in California. I'm half kidding. I guess by staying the hell away from the assholes with guns, growing food (I've got seeds and spores saved),foraging, and by hopefully sticking with family and finding others of like mind to live in a commune-type setting (without a power-hungry Jim Jones or Manson-type dude). Bartering goods and services. Maybe I'll build an earthship nest. God knows there are plenty of discarded tires. I rather like New Mexico and have spent quite a few years living there off and on.

No, I won't use 'em. It's pointless. But lots of YOU will buy them from me. You are all so freaking insecure and frightened you will arm yourself to the teeth. And I'll profit from it.
And you'll probably do yourselves some good, killing your neighbors to steal their stuff. (You'll justify it with claims that you're ecologically thinning the human herd, or as we savvy people call it, the Ras Al Ghul Final Solution.)
Don't you love idiots who post paranoid threads like the original poster? They open themselves up to such amazing ridicule.

The devaluation of the dollar ant what that will do to my retirement is my biggest concern since I can't get my employer to pay me in Euros.
