How can Bush hold his head up in public?

My gawd, but he's the worst president this country has ever had. Somebody had to take that mantle from James Buchanan and it's the chimp. His record is atrocious. Everything he has touched has turned to dust:

1) He inherited a huge surplus and now we have a mammoth deficit
2) We were at peace on January 20, 2001 and now we are fighting two wars--one of which (Iraq) should have been avoided.
3) Gas prices have risen from about 1.89 per gallon to almost $4.00 per gallon (some places are over $4 gallon).
4) FEMA was an agency which was respected for the work it did during natural disasters, and today it's a joke.
5) Bush is the first president I know of who allowed a major American city (New Orleons) to sink.
6) poverty and homelessness are up
7) And now the housing collapse, again during his watch.

He is an incompetent boob who should have been impeached for a variety of crimes long ago, but people like Pelosi and Reid didn't have the backbone to do it and now we have all the consequences of his rein of error/terror.

That's how he holds his head up. He knows we didn't want him and we got stuck with him anyway and there wasn't a damn thing we could do about it.

Remember what he told that journalist on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial who said he thought bu$h was doing a terrible job? Bu$h said he didn't care what that guy thought. Sums up his whole pResidency.

He doesn't care what we think because he wasn't elected, therefore he doesn't feel accountable to us.

7. It is his life story.

He is used to failing at everything. The upside for him was that there was always someone to bail him out so he got to play "big shot" and get away with it.

I wonder if he knows that he will never be welcome or safe. That might be as bad as a prison sentence, to be guarded all the time. I know I would hate it. If nothing else, he will know that he is not a welcome person and that his last fuck up was his last chance and that time he fucked over the entire planet and we will NOT be forgetting or forgiving. Can you imagine? Maybe he can't and that is part of the problem.
