Illiquid Definition: Insufficient cash flow.
Definition: In the context of finance. absence of cash flow needed to fulfill financial debts and meet obligations.
In the context of investments, describes a lightly traded investment such as a stock or bond that is not easily converted into cash.
AKA....
Broke, busted, bankrupt, insolvent, ruined, toast..

they have no assets easily converted into cash. If you own billions in real estate and your loan payment is due tomorrow, you're illiquid no matter how much you're worth.
