LIstening to Hammerin Hank Paulson on the TV I noticed the adjectives he uses to describe

the credit markets as "scared", "frozen" and "nervous". The picture that came to my mind was that of a tiny, gray kitten that had become stuck behind a wall. The poor, dirty kitten is shivering with fear and cold. We are looking in and trying to rescue this fragile creature, but we certainly have to do it with care lest we harm the kitty. So please do not use those long metal tongs to extract the kitten from its' predicament. She is scared, frozen and nervous. Better instead to disassemble the wall, rescue the kitten and keep it safe and warm.
