How has George W. Bush changed America? |
|
It has been nearly eight years since George W. Bush took office and in that time much has changed across the American landscape. From the tragedies of 9/11 to Hurricane Katrina to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to the housing foreclosure crisis to $4 a gallon gasoline and rising food costs - America 2008 is vastly different from America 2001. In your opinion, how has George W. Bush transformed the American landscape? Under the Bush administration is the United States better or worse off today than it was in Janaury 2001?
We are small theater outside of Pittsburgh, PA, assembling viewpoints from real people to tell the story of where America is today. These responses will be worked into monologues to be presented as an evening of live political theater.
Please post your response within this thread -- be brief or long, funny or serious. Thank you!

lifted it to his coke-clogged nose and took a whif of it with a shit-eating grin on his mug and then he flushed it down the toilet and sent it to the bottom of the sewage treatment plant while dancing away like the Joker, sounding a manical cackle all the way into the Dubai sunset.

10. You might look at it this way. |
|
The US government is like an old car with lots of gadgets and systems that have been added over the many years since its invention. Parts have been repaired sometimes with gum and baling wire and at other times with great ingenuity and marvelous craftsmanship.
Every few years we give someone the keys to this car.
Since George W. Bush has had the keys, he has taken out many of the fences and mailboxes on the right side of the road, causing the neighbors to become very angry, not to mention causing terrible damage to the car. He has failed to pay for the gas and repairs of the car, instead passing the bill on to future generations.
In short, he has run it into the ditch.
