Don't pass the bailout
I don't trust them. I don't believe them. There is a reason they are trying to ramrod this through.

They will fuck us if we give them the opportunity.

3. I agree. Give them a copy of the Bankruptcy Code and directions to the nearest federal court house.
Tell them "we have a system for reorganizing businesses, and it is in the Bankruptcy Code, so go there like all the other businesses that can't pay their bills."

And there the companies can either reorganize or be liquidated, just like all the other businesses that bet wrong and lose.

4. Why is this bailout being represented as the Secretary of the Treasury's plan?
Is the Secretary of the Treasury going to hermetically seal himself off from the White House and Bush/Cheney? Why isn't this being talked up as Bush's plan? Doesn't the Secretary of the Treasury work for Bush and answer to Bush? Isn't the Secretary of the Treasury a part of Bush's cabinet? Do people really thing the Chimp is going to have a hands-off posture towards the bail-out? Do people think that Cheney will sit idly by and gawk at that delicious pile of $700 billion getting handed out without wanting to exercise a great deal of input?

This is Bush who is going to be handing out $700 billion. This is Bush who again is saying "trust your favorite chimp".

"See, we're going to add a little here, a little there, until you're convinced it's really for your own good."

6. It's not only lipstick on a pig .. but it's a pig in a poke besides.
During the entire hearing, we NEVER even got a glimpse of the pig, either. It's one helluvan expensive pig.
