A Dose of Reality - There IS going to be a depression, it's just a question of WHEN |
|
Here's the analogy: You're blowing up a balloon (the US economy) that has a leak in it. You keep blowing (pumping in cash) and blowing but the balloon keeps losing air, AND the leak keeps getting bigger and bigger. So now you have to keep blowing harder just to keep the balloon partially inflated. And now you're out of breath.
If the crash doesn't happen this month or next month it will happen next year. The fundamental pillars of the economy have been weakened to the point that the house is coming down. The Repuke objective is make one last heist, and to push this down the road when they are long gone.
Let this fucking this die. Yes, we will all suffer, but pushing this into the future just makes the eventual fall that much worse.

1. Once the band aid is soaked with blood... |

The entire financial world has been artificially inflated... it's going to hurt when it crashes, but I think, unfortunately, it is necessary.

2. I know this sounds crass but I'm GLAD this is happening now, pre-election |
|
Just imagine how we'd all feel if this crisis had arisen only AFTER the election, when either (a) the rightwing morans would be blaming Obama or (b) we'd all be ready to jump out a window being stuck with Pres. BombBomb.

4. I believe that the sudden revelation of the "crisis" coincides with Obama's |
|
positive polling trends. They know he would win a fair election. Nonetheless, those fuckers will blame the Dems anyway.

I think it's also possible they'll patch it up enough that we'll continue along in recession and stagnation for a decade.
Though I think given the past week it's only a matter of time before we get a crash. A bad one.

5. Pull the bandaid off NOW! Just JUMP into the pool, don't wade ... |

You know ANYTHING that's going to be a shock is better to get over with ALL AT ONCE, not gradually. We ought to just rip the bandaid off so we can get this misery over with and BEGIN COMING BACK UP ...

I have been seeing this coming for a long time. I think we just need to get it over with and truly have a chance to start again.

9. One part of the shock doctrine: in order to install a fascist government |
|
once and for all is first to wreck the economy.
There's lots of room in those Cheneyburton stateside black-site prisons. Gonna be tough to get us all in there, though.

10. No, it's a question of how bad it's going to be. |
|
Part of the reason the Great Depression got so bad was because the politicians and the Fed just sat there while the banking system collapsed. The "let it crash" people don't seem to understand that.
