CNN allowed to observe Palin and Karzai for 29 seconds!!
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/

After 29 seconds observing the meeting, CNN and other photographers covering the meeting were escorted out of the room.

Later, McCain-Palin press representatives chalked up the restrictions to a “mix-up, a miscommunication among staff.” The full pool — a print and wires reporter, along with a television producer — was then allowed in to observe Palin’s meeting with Colombian President Alvaro Uribe for 15-20 seconds.

she's met them! A kind of foreign leader scavenger hunt.

This is crazy.

12. K&R

29 seconds is a long time for Palin. She's been allergic to the media ever since McLame picked her.

In his 60 Minutes interview McLame was asked why she had 2 public speaking engagements compared to

Biden's 87. Needless to say McLame changed the subject very quickly.

17. Still, it's 29 seconds with a couple of cameras and a producer
No reporters allowed, because heaven forbid one of them should shout out a question. The MSNBC reporter just said Palin's handlers only caved on the cameras and one producer after the press said they would get no coverage at all of the visits. How is this a good compromise?

I wish one of those photogs could have snuck in a microphone. At least we would know what she is conversing with the Afghani and Columbian leaders about.

I am starting to agree with people who are suggesting they may try to get her out of the debate. Without a speech, she is apparently helpless.
