Anyone else occasionally bump into famous Republicans they despise?
I work in DC and there was a point when I would walk passed Bob Novak at least once a month (that's obviously changed) and David Gregory at least once every couple months. I've also been walking on the street and walked right by Alberto Gonzales -- it was after he "resigned", so he didn't have a very large entourage. I've also seen Tom Ridge and Michael Chertoff once each.

Each time, I've kept my cool and just walked right by, but it's so tempting to want to flip them the bird. Anyone have similar experiences?

3. I literally ran into Dick Armey in the grocery store
in his home district where I used to live, before I wised up and left the state. Actually collided with his shopping cart, and exchanged "excuse me's" with him. Later I realized I could have suddenly choked him with my bare hands, and saved the country some damage. Alas, another missed opportunity.

4. Locally famous ones, yeah ...
... I work just down the street from State and City Gov't centers so see them often out at lunch ... and I look down my face at them like the shitstains they are.

but our local state senator, and former Ark. Republican Party Chair Gilbert Baker.

I knew him back when he was on the faculty at the UCA School of Music, so he always speaks to me.

He has been called out for unsavory activities numerous times, not to mention voter intimidation during the 2004 election ("We don't count provisionals anyway....")

I call him Senator Bowlcut

8. For a while..
.. I thought George and Babs were following me around. :)

I would go to events in Houston, and they would be there. Ballgame, etc.

They even turned up when I saw Jersey Boys.

9. Ann Coulter sat a few seats away from me on the NY subway
She got on in the Upper West Side (of course) - at first I thought she was a man in drag, but then I thought, no, no man could have arms like pipecleaners, so it had to be a woman... then it hit me! Ann Coulter! I smiled at her as I got off in mid-town, so she might think she's not so ugly. I felt sorry for her.
