Is the bailout bill just going to die?
Is that possible? I think it is. At this point I'm not convinced even a watered-down 150Billion plan can make it through.

Personally, I plan on continuing to call my Congresswoman every morning until it is indeed dead and buried.

4. Krugman says something must be done before the end of the week.
Before confidence falls any further.

In a BBC interview I just watched, he said that there was a railroad bubble that when burst, left us with railroads. With the dot com bust, we were left with an internet. But with the housing market bubble burst, we're left with derivatives. Just faulty pieces of paper.

It also sounds like one facet of healing the situation will be decreasing of home values. That may actually be like a very large injection of cash into the system. I think that's one part of how this financial crisis will be defused. Instead of every American coming up with thousands, each home will be worth less. Disclaimer: I could be completely full of crap. And I probably am. But it's just thinking out loud. And it's FREE! :)

5. It will be passed
Congress is playing politics with it right now, but a version of this bill is going to be passed.
